Francis Czarniecki
Francis Joseph Czarniecki, 98, of Renfrew, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 11, 1925, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Stanley and Bernice Jagello Czarniecki.
Francis was a member of St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps 808th Air Engineer Squadron during World War II. Francis retired from U.S. Steel as a pipe fitter. He was an avid fisherman, especially in his younger years. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.
Francis leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Carol Ann Montgomery (the late Richard) and Donna Harrison; his granddaughters, Jaclyn Rosenbaum, Catherine (TJ) Visconti and Lauren (Adam) Mills; his great-grandchildren, Judah, Jackson and Joseph Rosenbaum, Brycen and Dane Mills, and Gracelynn Visconti; and his sister, LaVerne (Robert) Kader.
In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Josephine Ross Czarniecki; his son, Staff Sgt. Ronald F. Czarniecki; his daughter, Barbara Jean Czarniecki; his great-grandson, Ryker Mills; and his siblings, Eugene Czarniecki, Dolores Radzanowski and Daniel Czarniecki.
CZARNIECKI — Friends and family of Francis Joseph Czarniecki, who died Saturday, June 17, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church - All Saints Parish, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.
Francis will be laid to rest with military honors at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pleasant Hills.
