At least one person was transported by medical helicopter from a two-vehicle crash that happened at around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, June 17, near 841 New Castle Road in Franklin Township.

Butler County dispatch said Sunday morning, June 18, that state police, Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the crash. Emergency dispatch also said the crash involved one of the vehicles smoking.

Bertha Cazy, public information officer for the state police, said two vehicles were involved in the crash.
