Donald E. “Hurk” Scott, 71, of Butler passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.

He was born in Butler on May 5, 1952, and was the son to the late Thomas J. Scott Sr. and Hazel C. (Frederick) Scott.

Donald served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Donald worked for Agr International as a machinist, where he retired after 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, including going to his camp with family and friends. In addition, he loved tinkering in his wood shop, going to flea markets and auctions, and also liked helping with the annual Ducks Unlimited dinner. Donald was a man of little words, but would help or do anything for anyone when they needed.

He is survived by his siblings Thomas (Eileen) Scott Jr., Marjorie Waldroup and Robert (Carol) Scott. He was an uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Ann; and his brother-in-law, Charles Waldroup.

SCOTT — Family and friends of Donald E. “Hurk” Scott, who died Saturday, June 10, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A funeral with full military honors will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
