Scott Eckstein
Scott Thomas Eckstein, 54, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1968 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Wesley Eckstein and Janet (Thomas) Eckstein.
Scott graduated from high school then received a degree in engineering from Penn State. He was working as an estimator for TruTeam for the past nine years. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, where he was involved with the kids club, helped build houses for people in need and made Sunday breakfast at the parish. He was a loving husband, devoted father and loved to travel with his family. “We Are.”
He is survived by his wife, Alanea (Cornell) Eckstein, whom he married June 3, 1989; two children, Wesley Jaime Eckstein, of Butler, and Beyona Violet MacDonald and her husband John, of Harrisburg; one sister, Shari Mailman, of Pittsburgh; and his uncle, who was like a father to him, Bruce Thomas, and Joyce of North Carolina.
ECKSTEIN — Family and friends of Scott Thomas Eckstein, who died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, will gather at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Brian Bocian, pastor, will officiate.
