John McMillen Sr.

John D. “Jack” McMillen Sr., 94, of Cabot passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 19, 1928, in Winfield Township, he was the son of George H. McMillen and Ida (Altman) McMillen.

Jack served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He had worked as an electrician for Penn-Dixie Cement/Armstrong Cement for 41 years. He enjoyed gardening, going to casinos and watching the Steelers and Pirates.

Surviving are one son, Gregory McMillen; one daughter, Michele McMillen; his sister, Della Mae Melton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ellen (Criley) McMillen; four sons, John Jr., Bradley, Randel and Curtis; four brothers, George, Norman, Ralph and Paul; and three sisters, Eleanor Ferne, Ina Jane Campbell and Ruth Miklaus.

Jack had been a resident at Oertel Personal Care of Concordia for four years, and he loved all the girls. Our thanks for the excellent care he received there, whether it was just talking, joking around or giving them a hard time!

MCMILLEN — There will be no visitation or services for John D. “Jack” McMillen Sr., who died Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Entombment will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.
