George J. Barkin Jr.
George J. Barkin Jr., 71, of Renfrew passed away at home on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Born Feb. 11, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George J. Barkin Sr. and Dorothy Garrigan Barkin.
George leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Melanie (Pete) Comstock of Mentor, Ohio; his great-granddaughter, Gabriela Barkin of Renfrew, who he adopted when she was 5 years old; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Virginia “Jenny” L. Barkin, whom he married on June 29, 1988, and who passed away on Feb. 15, 2022; his son, Michael James Barkin; and his sister, Bernadette Sens.
BARKIN — A memorial service for George J. Barkin Jr., who died Monday, May 29, 2023, is planned for a date yet to be determined.
