Richard McWilliams

Richard A. “Mick” McWilliams, 91, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Mars and Sigel, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 24, 2023, at his home.

Born in Mars on May 8, 1932, he was a son of the late Paul B. and Bessie Lyford McWilliams.

He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mick was a self-employed concrete mason.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his son, Arthur “Art” McWilliams (Jeannette) of Slippery Rock, with whom he made his home; his grandchildren, Jason and Levi McWilliams, both of Grove City; his great-grandchildren, Hailie and Zendaya McWilliams; and his nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Marie Borland McWilliams, who died on Jan. 13, 1996; his sisters, Flora Dally, Dorothy Schnell, Pauline Burns, Frances Quigley and Helen McWilliams; and his brothers, Wendell “Birdy” McWilliams and Frank McWilliams.

MCWILLIAMS — A celebration of life is being planned for Richard A. “Mick” McWilliams, who died Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.

Arrangements are under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
