2 charged with retail theft, have more charges in Allegheny

Two women were charged in connection to retail thefts where hundreds of dollars in clothing items were taken from Old Navy in Cranberry Township.

Desiree C. Riley, 32, of McKees Rocks, and Breyen C. Good, 24, of Pittsburgh, were charged with felonies theft and conspiracy for the two incidents in March 2023.

Township police described Riley and Good as “habitual shoplifters” in their reports.

The first incident occurred March 28, with surveillance footage showing two women, later identified as Riley and Good, concealing children’s clothing in a tote bag.

The women removed security sensors from the clothing, which were later found in the store, police said.

The women proceeded to pay for two of the clothing items and exited the store with the rest of the merchandise still in the tote bag. Police said 34 clothing items were in it, amounting to $502.

In a second incident on March 29, Riley and Good again entered the store with a bag and concealed children’s clothing in it. Police said they exited the store with 37 items of clothing, amounting to $538.

In total, police said surveillance footage showed Riley and Good removing 71 items of clothing from the store, amounting to $1,041.

Preliminary hearings have not yet been scheduled for Good or Riley.

Though neither Riley or Good have prior retail theft convictions in Butler County, both have active cases in Allegheny County.

Good has five active cases of retail theft in Ross Township, West Mifflin and Upper St. Clair. Riley has three active cases in Ross and North Fayette townships and Upper St. Clair.
