ADAMS TWP — Mars boys and girls lacrosse, and boys volleyball teams will be competing in their respective WPIAL tournaments this week.

The boys lacrosse team plays Hampton at 7:45 p.m. Monday at Shaler. The Planets are coming off a 17-1 win over Moon in the WPIAL 2A quarterfinals. Mars is 16-2 on the season.

The girls lacrosse team (17-1) plays Chartiers Valley in the WPIAL 2A semifinals at 6 p.m. Monday at Shaler. The Lady Planets defeated Franklin Regional 17-6 in the quarterfinals.

The boys volleyball team (15-3), coming off a 3-2 win over Montour, plays Ambridge in the WPIAL 2A semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Gateway.
