Police reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts.

State Police, Butler

May 17 — JAXXON jewelry valued at $1,650, Michael Kors jewelry valued at $250 and Dell laptop computer were reported stolen in a burglary of a home on Eastwood drive in Summit Township. The unknown burglar entered the home by using a key hidden outside.

May 14 — Lacey Fosnaught, 33, of Butler, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after she was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Chicora Road near Valley Vista Lane in Oakland Township. Police said her vehicle struck a fence, utility pole, speed limit sign and six mailboxes before overturning.

May 18 — Christopher D. Kennedy, 53, of Chicora, was charged with false written statement and statement under penalty for attempting to buy a handgun on Nov. 16, 2021, from Rural King in Center Township. On a purchase form, he indicated he has never been convicted of a crime punishable by a year or more in prison, but he was convicted of driving under the influence in 2005, police said.

Cranberry Township

May 17 — Curtis Stanley Funkhouser, 20, of Eugene, Ore., was charged with disorderly conduct and retail theft after police said he attempted to take $115 in merchandise from Walmart without paying. The store is seeking $56 in restitution for damaged merchandise that can’t be resold.
