Miller Minutes

Miller Minutes with Butler Eagle reporter, Molly Miller

It takes a lot of work to be creative. Unfortunately, it’s something you have to practice.

I despise practicing. If I’m not immediately good at something, why do it?

This is the wrong mindset, as I’m sure you’re well aware. But one way I’ve combated the procrastination of practice, and the urge to give up writing, is looking at great writers that came before me.

One of those writers is my mom.

She’s published more romance novels than I can count and still has a full-time job. She always makes time for what she wants to do most: write.

Since we share in that passion, I find a lot of motivation in her example. I guess I’m trying to say, thanks Mom. Happy Mother’s Day.

If you’re at a loss of what to gift your mom this holiday, try escorting her to one of the events below.
