BUFFALO TWP — Evans City’s Brandon Spithaler ended a drought of more than six years Friday night when he reached victory lane at Lernerville Speedway.

Spithaler won the Sprint feature at the Sarver oval. His most recent win there had been in April of 2016.

Spithaler started from the fifth spot and passed race leader Darin Gallagher on the fourth turn of the fourth lap. He spread distance from his pursuers from there.

In other action, Michael Norris of Sarver won the Late Model feature from the third starting position. He took the lead following a caution on Lap 2. He hung on for the win despite a series of restarts.

Former track champion Mat Williamson returned to Lernerville from his home in Canada and picked up his 32nd career Modified feature win here. Williamson was in action because of a rainout at Ransomville Speedway on Friday.

Jake Dietz secured his first career Lernerville feature win in the Pro Stock division. He came from the ninth starting spot to do so.
