Starting Tuesday, May 16, a section of Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township will be closed for repairs.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that a section of Saxonburg Road between the intersections of Green Manor Drive and Mushrush Road will be closed starting May 16 to allow maintenance crews to replace a large cross pipe.

Motorists will be directed to a detour from Saxonburg Road to Route 356 South to Winfield Road back to Saxonburg Road.

The work is weather dependent. The rain date is May 17.
