The public is invited to help give a group of military veterans a hero’s welcome following their trip to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, May 6.

Honor Flight Pittsburgh is busing veterans to the Capitol May 6, where they will see the memorials that were built in honor of their service, according to a news release from Honor Flight Pittsburgh.

They will leave in the morning at Victory Family Church, 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Township, where they will return at around 10:30 to 10:45 p.m. for their welcome home.

Participants for the welcome home are asked to wear red, white and blue gear, and are suggested to arrive to the church by 10:15 p.m. to secure a spot. For questions, call Ron Schall at 724-302-6859.
