Luke Trueman had a dominant day on the mound and at the plate Saturday as the Slippery Rock University baseball team swept a doubleheader from Clarion, 8-0 and 8-2, at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park.

Trueman tossed a complete-game shutout in the first game. He had four hits in eight at-bats for the twinbill, including a home run, eight RBI and three runs scored. He is hitting .382 with 25 doubles, 10 homers and 33 RBI on the season. He has a 2.08 earned run average with 65 strikeouts in 69.1 innings pitched.

SRU (22-23) hosts Walsh for a nine-inning game at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Critchfield Park.
