College notes

STEPHANIE CIMINI (Mars) registered her 100th career point for the Westminster women’s lacrosse team. She had seven goals and three assists in a 24-17 win over Thiel.

ALYSSA STITT (Karns City) singled, drove in a run and scored a run in Clarion’s 3-0 softball win over Slippery Rock. She had a sacrifice fly in the second game, a 6-5 loss.

RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored three goals and had four assists in Westminster’s 20-8 men’s lacrosse win over Thiel.

ANTHONY KAMENSKI (Karns City) won the 400-meter hurdles for Westminster’s men’s track and field team at Thiel’s Tomcat Invitational. His time was 54.55 seconds. He also placed fourth in the 100 meters in 10.94 seconds.

MEAH GROVES (Seneca Valley) scored a goal in Grove City’s 14-10 women’s lacrosse loss to Chatham.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) won the discus for the Grove City men’s track and field team at the Thiel Tomcat Invitational. His throw was 143 feet. He placed fifth in the shot put.

LUKE VITTONE (Eden Christian/Seven Fields) tripled and scored two runs for Grove City in a 14-1 baseball win over Westminster in the first game of a doubleheader.

DAVID LESLIE (Butler) tossed a complete game for Grove City to earn the win. He pitched a three-hitter and struck out seven. Leslie has a 1.82 earned run average in his last five starts.

ROBBY RANDOLPH (North Catholic/Cranberry Twp.) won the second game, 12-2, for Grove City. He pitched 3.2 innings of relief, striking out three.
