In loving memory of Donald D. Young, Jr. whose birthday is April 1.

Remembering with a bittersweet smile that we teased dad every year about being an April Fool. For sure he was no fool and we both teased and treasured him with loving hearts. We were grateful for the birthday as he was humble and demonstrated goodness without want of attention.

Memories of his teachings are practiced every single day.

He is intensely missed.

There is so much love and laughter from shared times.

As his loss remains ever close to the surface of our minds and hearts, tears are always at the ready.

The best man we knew.

Mom’s one great love.

He taught us not only how to live but also left a legacy that helps us to survive without his Earthly presence.

Life is not the same; surviving is what we must do to honor him.
