Matthew Drissler

Drissler

Matthew “Matt” David Drissler, 46, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023, at his home with his wife, Anne, and his son, Thomas, by his side.

Matt was born on Dec. 13, 1976, at Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township to Thomas and Mary (Swall) Drissler.

Matt graduated from Mars High School in 1995. He also graduated from the Butler County Vocational-Technical School with a heavy-equipment certificate.

He went to work at Penn-Detroit Diesel after graduation, and then went on to work as a one-ton dump truck driver with Vogel Disposal and had worked there for nearly 23 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 249.

Matt was a hard worker. He was the best brother to his brother and sister. He was so devoted to his family and was the most loving, caring and giving son to his mom and dad. He was very dedicated and loving to his wife and son, whom he cherished.

Matt loved fishing, small-engine repair, and teaching his son how to fix anything.

He attended Community Alliance Church in Butler, and he was a Christian by faith.

Matt will be terribly missed by his wife, Anne (Parise) Drissler, whom he married on May 16, 2009, and his son Thomas, age 10, at home.

He is also survived by his dad and mom, Thomas and Mary Drissler, of Mars; his brother, Milton Drissler, of North Braddock; his sister, Ruth “Annie” Ford and her husband, Gabe, of Herman; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Kristin Parise, of West Deer; his three nieces and three nephews; and an entire group of family and friends who love him dearly.

Services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Krajacic officiating.
