Connor McTighe hit a walk-off single, scoring Noah Collins, as Butler’s baseball team downed Beaver, 4-3, at home Wednesday. The Golden Tornado totaled seven hits in the win, and McTighe led with three.

Nolan Stefanik earned the win, going 2.2 innings on the mound and allowing one hit and a walk. He fanned four batters, as well.

Riverside 20, Knoch 2 — Sean Morgan had a double, a triple, and pushed across both of the Knights runs in this decisive defeat. Braden Wozniak added a double and scored a run.

Softball

Mars 8, Knoch 3 — Annalynn Isaacs totaled three hits and Alyssa Harris threw a two-hitter for Mars as the Planets beat Knoch, 8-3, in a softball clash Wednesday. Marlee Fraser and Sam Robb both had RBI base knocks for the Knights in the loss.

Norwin 12, Butler 4 — Gracey Negley and Alley Bartley both singled, and Kelsey Ogin went the distance in the circle, but the Golden Tornado came up short in this one. Butler (0-3) will be back in action Friday against North Allegheny.
