Mars graduate and Pittsburgh Pirate relief pitcher David Bednar struck out three in his inning of work Saturday for the United States in the World Baseball Classic.
Bednar pitched the ninth inning for the U.S. in its 6-2 victory over Great Britian. He did not allow a run.
