Susan Elaine Puskar Parkes, 61, of Renfrew, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 1, 1961, in Kittanning, and was a daughter of the late Florian S. Puskar and Phoebe Irene (Rumbarger) Puskar.

Susan enjoyed her work as a registered nurse, working for Encompass Health, and also spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Abbey Parkes; one grandson, Jackson Walowen; two sisters, Rosalie A. Puskar Bell and Mary Woodring; two brothers, James Rumbarger and Merle Johns; one sister-in-law, Cathy Puskar; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Parkes; her son, Adam Parkes; and three brothers, Stephen, Joseph and John Puskar.

PARKES — Friends of Susan Elaine Puskar Parkes, who died Monday, March 6, 2023, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home officiated by her sister, Rosalie.
