SRU sweeps PSAC baseball awards

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s Devin Dunn has been named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week and Jon Kozarian is Athlete of the Week as SRU swept the league’s baseball honors.

Dunn tossed a two-hit shutout in a 7-0 victory over Alliance. He struck out 10 and allowed only one walk. Kozarian had seven hits in 15 at bats, including eight runs scored and 10 RBI.

SRU is 5-2 and hosts West Virginia State for a three-game weekend series beginning at 1 p.m. Friday.
