Larry S. Magill
Larry S. Magill, 82, of Evans City, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, while under the care of Concordia at Villa St. Joseph in Baden.
Born Nov. 24, 1940, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Sylvester Magill and Lillian Magill (Brown).
Larry was a proud U.S. Army veteran.
He was employed by MSA for 28 years, followed by years of working doing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or whatever needed to be done. In addition, he worked as a custodian for Westminster Church and enjoyed the lifelong friendships and comfort that the church family brought him. Larry spent countless hours in the mornings and evenings discussing the day’s events with his brothers, with whom he was very close.
He was happiest when he was busy, regardless if it was helping out a friend, or mowing his grass. He loved being outside, simply enjoying the beauty of it all. He was a pap, father, brother, uncle and friend, and will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Bernadette (Worst) Magill of Evans City; his son, Steven (Barbara) Magill of Evans City; his siblings, Richard (Beverly) Magill of Cranberry Township, Gary (Marian) Magill of Evans City, Brad (Colleen) Magill of Melbourne, Fla., Ruth Ann (Bob) Davis of Middlesex Township, and Shirley (Keith) Hendershot of Beaver Falls; his three granddaughters, Samantha, Mandy and Maci Magill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Brian L. Magill, who passed away on June 14, 2014.
