Lechien

George Lechien Jr., 70, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023.

He was born in Pittsburgh on July 19, 1952, and was the son of the late George and Marie (Truax) Lechien Sr.

George served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked as a sandblaster mostly, then with Trinity of Greenville, and most recently at the Monroe Hotel and Hot Dog Shoppe.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

George was known for being a hard worker. He was loved and will be forever missed.

George was the father of Benjamin Lechien, and stepfather of Preston Bartmas and Crystal Lechien.

He is also survived by two stepgrandchildren, and will be forever loved by Teresa Lechien.

LECHIEN — Family and friends of George Lechien Jr., who died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
