Chris Pfabe

Pfabe

Chris Alan Pfabe, 61, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023.

Born June 28, 1961, in Butler, he was the son of Paul W. Pfabe and the late Betty Lee (Povlick) Pfabe.

Chris was a Boy Scout and learned a lot from his experiences with them, and that got him interested in the outdoors. Chris was an avid outdoorsman and loved kayaking, pontooning and fishing. He loved having cookouts at home on Saturday nights with the family.

He honorably served a term in the U.S. Air Force, where he got to see the world and experienced a close call in Germany. After he came home, he was hired at Armco in Butler and retired after 30 years.

He leaves behind a daughter, Sarah Grace Pfabe; three sisters, Linda (Charlie) Ritz, Karen Lee King and Sharon (Daryl) Shoaf; one brother, Brian (Debbie) Pfabe; two nieces, Gretchen Pfabe and Kelly Koorathota; and one nephew, Evan Shoaf.

He also leaves behind his wife, Sarah Pfabe, who stuck with him and was a blessing to the family. One in a million.
