SRU baseball wins opener in 12th

SHIPPENSBURG — Alex Robenolt hit a two-run homer in the 12th inning Friday as Slippery Rock University opened its baseball season with a 6-4 win at Shippensburg.

Tanner Esposito pitched 4.2 shutout innings in relief to get the win. Koby Bubash had a double and triple for The Rock.

SRU plays a nine-inning game Saturday at Shippensburg and the teams play a doubleheader at noon Sunday.
