A-C Valley grad McNany gets preseason honors

ERIE — A-C Valley graduate and Penn State Behrend senior catcher Cami McNany has been chosen Co-Preseason Softball Player of the Year by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference coaches.

McNany collected 45 hits, 42 RBI and 11 doubles in 36 games last season. She struck out only three times in 123 plate appearances and posted a .534 slugging percentage.

Butler grad Bocci heads to nationals

CLARION — Butler graduate David Bocci, a sophomore swimmer at Clarion University, has earned a bid to the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships in March.

Bocci won the PSAC championship in the 200-meter butterfly.
