Slupe

Gary Slupe, 71, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 22, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of the late Donald Joseph and Ruth Elizabeth Post Slupe.

He worked at Pullman Standard, and was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church in Butler.

He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, especially Roberto Clemente. He also enjoyed classic rock music and doing handyman work around his home.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Criss Anne Borso Slupe; his daughters, Erin (Michael) Tillery of Cranberry Township and Cary Gregor of Butler; four grandchildren, Hailie Slupe, Marcus Tillery, Mikayla Tillery and Olivia Lascuola; and his great-grandson, Graiesonn Glass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Slupe; and a sister, Donna Kyper.

SLUPE — There will be no visitation or services for Gary Slupe, who died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

Private interment will be held at the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
