JEFFERSON TWP — Three members of the Butler Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees bestowed the annual Lauretta Woodson Award upon two Knoch Middle School educators at the school board meeting on Monday, Feb. 6.

Janine Archer, a math teacher, and Kimberly Reel, a paraprofessional, received a plaque pin, and $100 for use in their classroom endeavors with students.

“Kim’s consistency and strong working relationship with special needs students make her a candidate for the award,” said Margaret (Peg) Harding, chapter president. “Janine’s continued dedication to mathematics leadership and her unwavering commitment to her students make her a viable candidate to receive this award.”

The Lauretta Woodson Award was given to the women “in recognition of unselfish dedication and exemplary service to the Knoch Middle School.”
