Butler woman charged with concealing 17 bags of heroin in her mouth

A Butler woman, who was taken to Butler County Prison, is accused of hiding 17 stamp bags of heroin in her mouth, according to charges filed Monday, Feb. 6.

Butler City police initially charged Robin J. Fleischer, 29, with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 30.

According to documents filed Feb. 1, police approached Fleischer, who had an active arrest warrant on the previous charges. When brought into custody, Fleischer was in possession of 24 white empty stamp bags and two syringes.

At the Butler County Prison, Fleischer was searched during the inmate intake process. Officers asked Fleischer to open her mouth, and she did not comply. Fleischer was advised again to remove an item concealed her mouth, which police discovered was a bundle of suspected heroin/fentanyl. A bundle is 10 stamp bags.

Another attempt to search Fleischer’s mouth yielded a second bundle of suspected heroin/fentanyl, this one containing seven bags.

A preliminary hearing for Fleischer’s first case is scheduled Feb. 13 before District Judge William Fullerton. A second preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.
