Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Cranberry Twp

Jan. 25 — Shawn N. Whiting, 44, of Saxonburg, was charged with a misdemeanor of driving under the influence after police said they stopped him Aug. 16 on Rochester Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of zolpidem in his system.

Jan. 25 — Daquan G. Palm, 23, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Kohl’s with $506 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Butler City

Jan. 24 — Michelle Hilke, 51, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs after police said she crashed her vehicle Dec. 29 on Main Street and West Cunningham Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC in her system.

Jan. 24 — Curtis M. Maciel, 33, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors of repairing an offensive weapon, trespassing and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he entered an apartment building he did not live in and was found in possession of brass knuckles and three glass smoking pipes.

Butler Twp

Jan. 25 — Jessica L. Gladstone, 32, of Renfrew, and Brandon P. Szwedko, 36, of Pittsburgh, were involved in a vehicle crash on Route 8 and Armco Hill. Police said Gladstone’s vehicle slid into Swedko’s after a snowfall.

Jan. 25 — Alex J. Ziegler, 28, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him Dec. 25 on Litman Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Ziegler’s blood-alcohol content at 0.121%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

State police, Butler

Jan. 25 — Richard M. Linkenheimer, 50, of Zelienople, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs and two counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped him Sept. 1 on Interstate 79, Cranberry Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC in Linkenheimer’s blood. Police also found marijuana, THC wax and vials in his vehicle.

Jan. 25 — Giovanni A. Micco, 21, of Harrisville, and Tyler M. Simmons, 30, of Butler were charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. Police said they fired shots on an unoccupied property and damaged a vehicle.

Jan. 25 — Anthony M. Marasco, 50, of Cheswick, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said 19 wax bags containing suspected heroin/fentanyl and a metal lid with two syringes were found in his vehicle.

Jan. 25 — Charles A. Devore, 50, and Kenneth P. Schroth, 63, both of Fenelton, were involved in a vehicle crash on Mitchell Hill, Summit Township. Police said Devore’s vehicle slid into Schroth’s due to weather conditions.

Jan. 25 — William E. Amon, 38, of Rimersburg, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI after police said he crashed his vehicle Jan. 21 on Chicora Road, Donegal Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.

Jan. 24 — Michael D. Campbell, 36, of Evans City, was charged with two felony counts of theft. Police said he left Boscov’s with merchandise without paying for it.

Jan. 24 — Ryan L. Hewett, 39, of Evans City, was charged with felonies of risking catastrophe and eluding an officer, misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drugs and paraphernalia after police said they stopped him on Franklin Road, Evans City Borough. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a bag of methamphetamine, marijuana, whiskey and an empty beer can were found in his vehicle.
