Sheriff’s office donates to Folds of Honor following No Shave November
County deputy sheriffs let their beards grow to raise $600 for a scholarship fund for children of fallen first responders in a No Shave November fundraiser.
Deputies donated the money to participate in fundraiser and let their beards and mustaches grow in November and December, County Sheriff Mike Slupe said.
The money was donated to the Folds of Honor scholarship fund Monday, Jan. 30.
“We presented them a $600 check Monday,” Slupe said. “This was the No Shave November and December.”
Slupe and a group of deputies gave the donation to Folds of Honor board member Bob Beisner in the courthouse.
This is the second year the sheriff’s office has participated in a No Shave November fundraiser. Tunnel to Towers was the recipient last year.
