Bruce Sutton
On Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, Bruce Davison Sutton, born Nov. 17, 1925, passed from this world into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bruce is now enjoying a reunion with his beloved wife, Myrtle; two of his daughters, Susan (Sutton) Emelander and Sally (Sutton) Boerema; two grandchildren; his siblings; his parents; and untold people with whom he shared the gospel.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Sutton and his wife, Debra; his daughter, Wendy (Sutton) Barkley and her husband, John; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and his sons-in law, Mel Boerema and Mark Emelander.
Bruce was a faithful servant at First Baptist Church of Evans City for many years, having served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, song leader and choir member, as well as having led countless Bible studies.
Bruce also enjoyed playing card games, gardening, repairing wrecked cars, and archery hunting at his camp, called “It’ll Do.”
SUTTON — A visitation for Bruce Davison Sutton, who died Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The committal will be held at Evans City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Piikani Lighthouse Fellowship, P.O. Box 32, Brocket, AB Canada TOK-OHO.
