Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

Jan. 12 — Charles W. Applegate, 46, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanors of driving under the influence, simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment. Police said he brandished a gun during an argument and drove from the scene, and that field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.

Butler City

Jan. 17 — Michael S. Davis, 47, of Prospect, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he rented items worth $319 and never returned them.

Jan. 17 — Michael A. Demko, 42, of Lyndora, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he rented items worth $567 and never returned them.

Jan. 17 — Kerigan B. Tiffner, 23, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said they stopped him Jan. 28, 2022, on West North Street. Police said he was found in possession of THC wax and 9 stamp bags of suspected fentanyl.

Jan. 14 — Ronald L. Piper, 46, of Hilliards, was charged with misdemeanors theft and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he took a cellphone and was found with two hypodermic needles and two bags with white residue on his person.

Jan. 13 — Lamont A. Franklin, 43, of Saxonburg, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said three empty stamp bags and a bag of suspected fentanyl were found on his person.

Butler Twp

Jan. 17 — Joy Rimer, 75, of Renfrew, and Brenda Knaell, 70, of Valencia, were involved in a vehicle crash on Whitestown Road and Colonial Avenue. Police said Rimer’s vehicle experienced a tire malfunction, causing her to travel into oncoming traffic and strike Knaell’s vehicle.

Jan. 17 — Maureen H. Terwilliger, 60, of Chicora, was charged with felony theft. Police said she left M@C Discount with $27 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Jan. 17 — Sydney M. Rodgers, 26, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said she crashed her vehicle on North Duffy Road and Seneca Drive, and that field sobriety tests showed she was impaired/A later blood test showed Rodgers’ blood alcohol content at 0.213%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Jan. 16 — Kevin Eisaman, 63, of New Stanton, Paul Falso, 39, of Grove City, Kimberly Stockdill, 38, of Rimersburg and Theresa Wagner, 51, of Butler were involved in a vehicle accident at South Benbrook Road and Greenwood Drive. Police said Eisaman’s vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit Falso’s vehicle, which caused a chain reaction.

Jan. 15 — Cierra Rose, Hefferan, 20, of Butler, was cited for public drunkenness and underage consumption. Police said she caused a disturbance on Old Plank Road.

Jan. 14 — Ken Hartle, 74, of Chicora, was involved in a vehicle crash on Whitestown Road. Police said he struck a utility pole which caused a five-hour power outage in the area.

Jan. 12 — Madison S. Reges, 22, and Nathaniel T. Reges, 23, both of Butler, were charged with misdemeanors conspiracy and theft. Police said they left Walmart with $706 worth of merchandise without paying for it on two occasions.

Cranberry Twp

Jan. 17 — David E. Thompson, 28, of Butler, was charged with a felony for carrying a firearm without a license and misdemeanor possession of a firearm. Police said they stopped him Jan. 15 on Route 19, and that he was in possession of a 9 mm pistol and was the subject of a protection from abuse order, which prevents him from possessing firearms.

Jan. 12 — Michael D. Zemann, 47, of Natrona Heights, was charged with a misdemeanor of cashing bad checks. Police said he gave a bad check totaling $3,283 to a business and owes that business $3,326.

Lancaster Twp

Jan. 13 — David N. Cox II, 36, of Evans City, was charged with misdemeanor obstructing administration of law. Police said he removed posted signs from his property multiple times.

State police, Butler

Jan. 17 — Christopher L. Rikles, 44, of Willowick, Ohio and James G. Deem, 55, of Lorain, Ohio, were involved in a vehicle crash on Interstate 79, Worth Township. Police said Rickles failed to yield to traffic and struck Deem’s vehicle. Rickle was taken to AHN Grove City for injuries.

Jan. 15 — Chloe M. Smith, 19, of Tarentum, and Sarah J. Russell, 35, of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash on North Main Street Extension, Center Township. Police said Smith’s vehicle rear-ended Russell’s vehicle.

Jan. 14 — Alec F. Wooster, 23, of Portersville, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he knocked someone into a wall, then to the ground, then bit them.
