Atrium hosts wedding show
PROSPECT — Several hundred people came out Saturday to check out the nuts and bolts of the wedding planning industry.
They turned out for the 2023 Wedding Showcase, held at The Atrium. The annual event welcomed caterers, DJs, videographers, a violin player and The Atrium itself as they showcased what they have to offer, said Madison Roxbury, coordinator for The Atrium.
Every year, the venue invites some of its favorite vendors, couples who have already booked at The Atrium, or couples considering getting married out for the gathering. Only one representative from each type of business is permitted.
That’s the biggest challenge, since The Atrium works with so many excellent vendors, Roxbury said.
It’s a chance for couples “to come and see the venue, to see our décor, to see our favorite vendors, and just kind of get a sense of what we’re all about,” Roxbury said.
The best part of the event?
“Seeing all the couples who are already booked, coming in, getting so excited for their big day.,” Roxbury said.
This is her third year doing the event. The showcase, she said, probably has been around as long as The Atrium has been open, or about 20 years.
“Every year, it grows more and more,” she said.
