Despite 18 points from Jomo Goings and nine points and 10 rebounds courtesy of Khalid Gates, Slippery Rock University’s men’s basketball team dropped an 84-77 PSAC contest at Seton Hill on Wednesday.

Bobby Clifford added 14 points and Amante Britt 12.

SRU’s record fell to 11-3 overall and 5-3 in conference games.

Women’s Basketball

Seton Hill 76, SRU 58

The Rock led at halftime, but their slide began with a nine-point third quarter and the Griffins capped this PSAC victory by outscoring SRU 24-15 in the final period.

Isabellah Middleton scored 20 points in the loss and Deleah Gibson added 13.

Butler High graduate Jordan Kauffman tallied five points and five rebounds for The Rock (8-6, 3-5).

Both Rock teams travel to Erie on Saturday to face Mercyhurst.
