SV graduate Bush nets 23 in victory

OBERLIN, Ohio — Seneca Valley graduate Mason Bush scored 23 points — his second consecutive 20-point effort — in leading Penn State Altoona to an 83-78 men’s basketball victory Friday night at Oberlin.

Bush sank five of seven shots from 3-point range. The Lions improved to 4-6 on the season and begin AMCC play Wednesday against Alfred State.

Knoch grad Boyer shines in defeat

GALLATIN, Tenn. — Knoch graduate and Penn State Behrend freshman Madilyn Boyer scored 16 points, but the Lions’ women’s basketball team dropped an 86-75 decision at Webster on Friday.

Boyer added seven rebounds and blocked two shots. Behrend fell to 8-3 with the defeat.
