Adams Township man accused of soliciting teenage girl online
A 61-year-old Adams Township man is facing three felony charges after police say he had explicit conversations with someone claiming to be a 15-year-old girl.
In reality, police said, Dale Pine was talking to a “decoy” working with 814PredHunters, a Clearfield-based group that says it catches adults attempting to prey on children online.
Pine is charged with allowing a child to photograph, film or record a sex act; corruption of a minor; and criminal use of a communication facility.
A representative of the group contacted Adams Township police Friday, June 30, to report that Pine had been having a conversation over text messages with an adult posing as a 15-year-old girl. The decoy told Pine that she was 15, and Pine replied, “OK, interested,” according to the affidavit of probable cause filed Wednesday, July 5.
Over the course of a week, Pine sent and asked for explicit photos, sent lewd and sexually explicit messages and offered to send the decoy money, police said.
An initial appearance date for Pine was not available Wednesday.
