Leadership Butler County welcomes new class
Leadership Butler County announced it has welcomed its 30th class for 2023.
The class consists of 29 professionals from all walks of life and many different industries.
Each class is defined by its class project, most recently a substantial donation to the Butler Health System Food Institute, a mobility accessible kayak launch at Moraine State Park, and two new horse arenas for equine-assisted therapy at Glade Run Adventures.
This year’s class is the first in Leadership Butler County’s 30-year history to take on three projects.
For the primary project, the class will partner with Moraine Preservation Fund, the park’s friends’ group to raise funds and renovate an existing multipurpose room at pavilion 7 into a Park Environmental Programming Classroom.
The secondary project will consist of raising funds for Robin’s Home to assist the organization in construction of a privacy room so the residents of the home can have medical and other professional appointments in privacy.
For the final project, the class will host supply drives at various community events, where they will collect items such as new shoes, socks and backpacks for community youth in partnership with Inspired Hearts and Hands.
