Bercurys, Brown win in harness racing
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Ilbennedinstitches, trained by Bill Bercury and owned by Renee Bercury of Slippery Rock, won a $12,100 Conditioned Trot during harness racing action Thursday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove Free On The Beach to victory in a $7,200 Conditioned Claiming Pace.
SV grad Redilla earns All-PAC
NEW WILMINGTON — Seneca Valley graduate Julia Redilla, a senior midfielder on the Westminster College women’s soccer team, has been named first team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
Redilla led the Titans in scoring this season, tallying 11 goals and three assists for 25 points.
SV hockey team blanks Mt. Lebanon
JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley’s varsity hockey team received goals from five different players while shutting out Mt. Lebanon, 5-0, recently.
Tyler Garvin, Steve Longwell, Jake Smelscer, Marshall Hewitt and Caleb Komaniak scored for the Raiders. Jonathan Nichols made 20 saves in getting the shutout.
Seneca Valley plays Nov. 28 at Pine-Richland.
