Butler Township citizens are invited to share their concerns about the future of Preston Park at a meeting Tuesday.

The gathering will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lyndora American Legion post 778, 150 Memorial Lane. No registration is necessary.

Many residents and park enthusiasts fear township officials plan to place a parking lot in part of the park’s natural area for large events, which they feel is unnecessary.

No plans have come before the township supervisors as of yet, but soil samples have been taken at the land.
