Aslyn Pry scored 19 points and added14 rebounds to lead the Butler County Community College women’s basketball team to a 62-60 victory at Penn State New Kensington recently.

Hailey Metzger contributed 13 points, five steals and five assists for the Pioneers (2-0). Brooke Manuel scored 10 points, Zoe Morely had eight points and seven rebounds, Emma Monteleone eight points.

Slippery Rock 79, Davis & Elkins 75 — Bella Long scored a career-high 24 points and tallied five rebounds for The Rock Saturday at the PSAC/MEC/CIAA Challenge at Indiana (Pa.) University. SRU moved to 1-1 on the season.

Isabella Middleton had 14 points and 12 rebounds, Kennedy Middleton 17 points and 10 boards. Deleah Gibson contributed 10 points.

SRU forced Davis & Elkins into 25 turnovers.

Men’s Basketball

Jonathan McFall scored a career-high 28 points to lead Slippery Rock to an 82-72 win over Notre Dame (Ohio) Saturday at Morrow Field House. He also had five rebounds and three steals.

Amante Britt tallied 20 points and four steals, scoring all 20 of his points in the second half. Khalid Gates had 10 points and five rebounds.
