SV grad Miller athlete of week

LOCK HAVEN — Seneca Valley graduate and California (Pa.) University sophomore Josh Miller has been named PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week.

Miller returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a touchdown Saturday in the Vulcans’ 59-14 win over Clarion. His brother, Gabe Miller, blocked the punt.

Redilla, Lewis get PAC rookie honors

NEW WILMINGTON — Seneca Valley graduate Justin Redilla and Slippery Rock graduate Amanda Lewis, both freshman athlete at Westminster College, have received Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

Redilla won the league’s Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week after winning Chatham’s 5K Cougar Challenge in18 minutes, 29 seconds. Lewis won the Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week by scoring two goals and an assist for the Titans. She has 14 points and six assists on the season.

SRU’s Nigon earns PSAC recognition

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior middle hitter Abigail Nigon has been named PSAC West Defensive Volleyball Athlete of the Week.

Nigon recorded nine total blocks on the week to increase her season total to 56, the second highest total in the PSAC West.
