Sandra Jean Sassone, 65, of Butler, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 26, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Butler on March 21, 1957, and was a daughter of the late Frank A. Sassone and Mary C. (Oliva) Sassone.

Sandra had worked in manufacturing and retail business administration for over 35 years at several local businesses in the Butler area.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Her son, Justin, was her greatest joy. She loved to watch him play hockey, and loved going to his games and being involved in the hockey community. Her favorite holiday was Halloween.

She is survived by her son, Justin D. Stirling and his wife, Chelsea, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; her two granddaughters, Belle and Mae; and her Yorkie granddog, Alphie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne G. Sassone.

SASSONE — Visitation for the family and friends of Sandra Jean Sassone, who died Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A blessing service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
