SRU QB Grover player of week

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University quarterback Noah Grover has been named PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week.

Grover completed 16 of 24 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns in SRU’s 45-14 victory Saturday at Millersville.

BC3 golf team wins invitational

BUTLER TWP — Troy Loughry earned medalist honors with a 79-68-147 to lead the Butler County Community College golf team to the Jamestown CCC Fall Invitational title at Chautauqua Golf Course in New York over the weekend.

The Pioneers’ team scored was 655 while Jamestown CCC had a 676 and Niagara CCC a 688. Knoch graduate Cory Voltz carded an 87-81-168, Liam Kosior a 77-92-169, Tanner Hohman an 86-87-173 and Freeport graduate Jack Mason an 86-91-177.

BC3 is 8-0 on the season and plays Friday at Somerset Country Club.
