Karen L. Haefner, 66, of Evans City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, in her home.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Bernard D. and Lois E Creedon.

Karen worked the majority of her life in customer service. Placing an emphasis on empathizing with them and taking care of whomever she dealt with like family. Whether working at King’s Family Restaurant, as a dedicated CNA or as a customer service representative, Karen greeted everyone with a smile and a genuine care for their happiness.

She is survived by her children, Kristen McAlpine (Ken), Jason Haefner (Mallory) and Justin Haefner (Amber); her grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Aiden, Sophie Ann, Izzy and Ellie; her brothers, Bernie D. Creedon Jr. and Thomas J. Creedon (Tina); her sister, Kathleen D. Creedon; and her nephews, Dylan, Zach and Cole Creedon.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Marce Mizerak.

Karen's family meant the world to her. She adored her children and grandchildren. In her very own way, Karen loved like no other.

HAEFNER — A committal service for Karen L. Haefner, who died Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum, S. Oliver Ave., Zelienople, where she will also be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karen's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
