Christopher Hinkle
CW4 (Ret.) Christopher “Chris” Brian Hinkle, on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at 9:37 a.m. Japan Standard Time, took his last flight, trading his Blackhawk rotors for his angel wings. He crossed over peacefully, his loving wife and children by his side.
Chris was a humble and decorated Airborne Infantry Ranger and Army Aviator, proudly serving and protecting America for over 20 years on active duty. Serving more than 36 months in combat, earning multiple awards and decorations for his bravery and service to the nation.
A 1989 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1996, becoming a warrant officer in 2000. Chris, along with his brother Todd, was a founding member of Portersville/Muddy Creek EMS, as well as a lifetime member of Portersville/Muddy Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
Chris is survived by his wife, Angelia, and his children, Joey, Bryan, Aiden and Kiyomi, all of Yamato City, Japan; his parents, Bob and Betty Hinkle of Portersville; his siblings, Terri Raisley, Todd Hinkle (Ronda) and Jonathan Hinkle; and his nieces, nephews and many friends that he cherished as family.
HINKLE — Services with full military honors for Christopher “Chris” Brian Hinkle, who died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moraine State Park, Lakeview Beach, followed by a celebration of life at Prospect Volunteer Fire Dept.
