Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler Twp

Sept. 7 — Joshua Holes, 30, of Butler, and William Bittner, 84, of Butler, were involved in a crash on New Castle Road. Police said Holes was riding his bicycle near Wendy’s when he ran into Bittner’s vehicle.

Slippery Rock Borough

Sept. 6 — Colin J. Borland, 20, and Caleb S. Borland, 19, of Lyndora, were both charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary charges of public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, harassment and purchasing alcohol for minors after police said they were dispatched to a fight Aug. 27 on South Main Street. Police said Caleb kicked the door of a car and tried instigating a fight with others, while Colin hit Caleb, causing a fight between them.

Sept. 6 — Justice L. A. Clark, 22, of New Castle, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said they stopped him Aug. 28 on North Main Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed signs of impairment, and a later breath test showed Clark’s blood-alcohol level at 0.109%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Sept. 6 — Jason L. Priester, 20, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and summary criminal mischief after police said he knocked a door off of its hinges Sept. 5.

State police, Butler

Sept. 7 — Erik K. Dubois, 35, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said two glass smoking pipes and suspected methamphetamine were found in his vehicle Aug. 23 on Mercer Street, Harrisville Borough.

Sept. 6 — Joseph A. Mayerchak, 39, of Wheatland, was charged with misdemeanor possessing marijuana and summary possession of drug paraphernalia after police said a glass smoking pipe and THC wax were found in his vehicle Aug. 23 on Mercer Street, Harrisville Borough.

Sept. 6 — Robert S. Barger, 33, of Karns City, was charged with misdemeanors simple assault and disorderly conduct and summary harassment after police said he punched a man multiple times Sept. 3 in Washington Township.

Sept. 6 — Denise D. Emigh, 50, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor of possessing a small amount of marijuana after police said they stopped her Aug. 22 on Route 422, Summit Township.

Sept. 6 — Steven L. Bowser, 37, of East Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he shoved his wife to the ground multiple times Sept. 5.

Sept. 6 — Joshua T. Verno, 32, of Seven Fields, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said they responded to a medical call June 5 on Snyder Lane, Clearfield Township. Police said Verno showed signs of impairment, and a later blood test showed traces of fentanyl in his system.

Sept. 6 — Donald G. Hickey, 52, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor accidents involving damage and several traffic citations. Police said he hit a vehicle while changing lanes Aug. 16 on Route 422, Franklin Township.

Sept. 6 — Kaitlyn A. Dempsey, 33, of Franklin, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs and three misdemeanors for use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped her Jan. 25 on Route 422, Franklin Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed Dempsey’s blood had traces of methamphetamine. A small amount of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe also were found during a search.

Sept. 6 — Alexis H. Bamber, 24, of Chicago, Ill., was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said she received $1,000 for the sale of a device she listed as $500 on Facebook Marketplace and never sent the device to the buyer.
