Edward Pennington
Edward Myers Pennington, 84, of Palmetto, Fla., formerly of Sarver, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Florida.
Ed was born Dec. 6, 1937, and was the son of the late Derwood M. Pennington and the late Violet (Rearick) Pennington Porter.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Judie, who passed away Nov. 1, 2021.
He was a 1955 graduate of West Winfield High School.
He retired from Braun Baking Company and later worked at Rittswood Golf Course.
Ed loved to hunt, fish and golf, and was a great Pirates fan.
Ed is survived by his son, Edward L. (Denise) Pennington of Tidioute; and a daughter, LeeAnne Pennington of Springdale. He was the proud grandfather of Zachary (Kali) Pennington and Erin (Grant) Evans; and great-grandfather of Blake Pennington.
Ed also is survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barb and Jeff Hartzell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judie; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean (Jim) Elliott and Jackie (Don) Harbison.
PENNINGTON — Per his wishes, there will be no services for Edward Myers Pennington, who died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022.
Ed wishes were that donations be made in his memory to the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.
