Carol J. Mack, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Tuesday morning, Sept. 13, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Canonsburg on Sept. 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Caroline Raith Moag, and the stepdaughter of the late Robert Moag Jr.

Carol had been a registered nurse at Homestead Hospital and Butler Hospital. She also had worked for Dr. Sutton in Butler, and did private duty nursing.

She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church, and had been a Knights of Columbus volunteer.

She was a 27-year volunteer for the flower sale at Holy Sepulcher, and had served as school board secretary. She was a Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) leader for Holy Sepulcher School. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin R. Mack, whom she married on Aug. 13, 1960; two daughters, Donna Anderson (Gary) of Penn Township, and Cathy Hawthorne of Middlesex Township; a son, Ed R. Mack (Cathy) of Middlesex Township; her grandchildren, Cara (Randy), Hayley (Dustin), Scott, Eric and Justin; and a great-grandson, Hudson.

MACK — Friends of Carol J. Mack, who died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Holy Sepulcher Chapter.
